The brief was to create a 3D vehicle and integrate it into a pre-recorded live-action scene. I decided to design a hovercar, because who doesn’t love hover-anythings, right? Instead of going for the standard futuristic design, I wanted something a little more realistic. I wanted by hovercar to be an absolute bomb. The kind of hovercar that would barely pass its roadworthy certificate.
This video details the process of designing, modelling and texturing the 3D hovercar and compositing it into live-action footage of a carpark using motion tracking.
